Strange but true!
I caught a bass on a small lure recently:
(I call it The Claw because a craw lure supplied the claw and it was attached to a body.) I noticed about 1 1/2' of mono hanging from its mouth and figured the hook must still be embedded. Looked in its mouth - no hook, just the line going into the gullet. I began pulling the line and a swivel appeared and then a wacky rigged worm attached to a circle hook: The bass swam away and hopefully will live considering the blockage. I figured why it made it: 1. mono rather than braid was used and it snapped off 2. the gage of the circle hook was small so it didn't get hooked well plus it was embedded in a piece of hard plastic tubing (collar) in the middle of the worm. You never know what you're going to find..... |
