how to reply to a private messge

Ok, this may sound like a dumb question, but gonna ask anyways. How do I reply to a private message sent to me? I read my message and then clicked on the "reply" tab and got a screen showing three boxes. The top box was the recipients name box, the second box was the title box, and the third and last box contained the message sent to me. I don't see any box to type my reply in. Other forums I've used had a box to type the reply in.

before you hit reply, go to the end of the message that was sent to you and then type in your message, then hit reply...OR, you can highlite the entire message that was sent to you and hit DELETE and then type in your message, that way the recepiant doesn't have to re read his sent message, then look at the bottom for the added reply

The third box is where you type. You may delete all or part of the quoted message. Then type after the quote or in the now-blank box.
