No Hits.. Any Advice?

so mad today went to this pretty big pond and seen so MANY BASS HUNDREDS!!!!!!!!!!! so i was so exited I threw senkos, lures, spinners, everything in my box and bag and the fish just sat there then to make it worse near the dam the was a HUGE BASS i threw everything.... and no effect any ideas....


its a pond that is rarly fished by anyone and there is a LOT of cover everywhere a lot of trees in the water and stumps a dam and some plants growing out of there water few snags.... any tips

Try to target any spot that provides shade, and if you are allowed to go early,
I'd go about 5 in the morning and fish till about 8:00 am.
However if you can't do that, then try fishing alot slower with plastics, I am sure you will get bite soon. Remember, sometimes due to high pressure and
other weather factors, the fish can be in a negative mood and not bite, so don't be surprised when you go through periods of inactivity, we all experience it from time to time.

yes use a variety of topwater before sunup, like a buzzbait, a popR, chug bug, actually anything you have in the tackle box.
Then as the sunrises you may elect to use a spinnerbait or crankbait,
then try some soft plastics.
Many times in summer the bigger fish will feed before sunrise.

I would try an all white Zoom Fluke (Walmart has them). Cast somewhat parallel to the shoreline getting as close to the cover as possible. Work it with a jerk-jerk-jerk- continuous motion. They will often explode on it. Give 'em a second or 2 then set the hook hard. This bait is awesome for pond fish. My 21 year old son smoked me with it on a local pond while I was fishing a junebug worm. For every one I caught he caught 3.

If you have seen them there, they will hit! I'm sure other baits will work also, but there's something about the Fluke and farm ponds. Good luck and remember a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work!

practice flipping and pitching, you could be spooking bass with your cast and use fluorocarbon for plastics and heavy mono (20-25) for topwater

How clear is the water? The fish might see you. Hank Parker said he would go 50 feet to up away from the pond and almost crawl his way back down to the spot he wants to fish, just so he did not spook the fish. I dont do that but the ponds i fish have enough cover so that the fish really cant see me, plus the water is not super clear. Be patient keep fishing it and be stealthy dont make much noise, dont make sudden movements or move to fast, and try to lay your lure in the water. Dont let it make a plunk or splash.

In a pond I'm not sure why they won't bite, when I can get on a private pond they are normally easy pickings. Try a 3 or 4" Senko and toss it out then let it fall and sit for 30 seconds (count it down, thanks Mac), then hop it one or two times if you don't have a bite, and then reel it back in slow and steady.
If I am fishing and can't get bit then I slow down even more than I thought possible and use a shaky head. Caught a 3 1/2lber. tonight when nothing else would bite on a bite-me jig head with a worm.

JB is right. When it gets real hot in the summer, the bite will slow and you will have to fish early in the morning, dusk, or at night. Fish the Senko slow, it will come.

Hell if u can see them right on the bank and like five feet out throgh a cast net!
