New Rod Question
Well, after a day flipping and pitching I found out I would like a new rod/reel set up. The reel is simple Quantum Tour PT (on order). But the rod is the hard part. I was thinking of the All Star ASR 7'2" MH jig/frog rod but just not sure. Oh would like to stay away from 7'6" rods, won't fit in my rod locker (7'2" will). Thanks in advance!

I've been using a Falcon Original 7'6" Heavy action flippin' stick for 15 years or so. I've got two of them. One is new because I broke one of my old ones recently. These rods are telescopic and can be reduced to a size (not sure how short) that fits any rod locker. Great rods. Sensitive, powerful, well-made in America.

I am partial to the Ugly sticks. They may be a bit heavier than most but you can practically bend them in half and they won't break. I've got 3 Ugly sticks. One is a two piece medium with a lot of tip action for the swim baits. One is a small 5' that I use for bobber fishing (my daughter uses this one as well). This one is really sensitive. The third is the Ugly Cat. It is an 8' two piece that can throw a 1/2 to 1 oz weight with hook and chum a country mile.

i'm about to order one of these http://www.broutlawrods.com/home.html. and bothomas is happy with his that he got a few weeks ago. the selling point to me is the warranty...if you break it, no questions asked. send them the rod and $50 and you get a new one. you are aready looking at an allstar so the money is about the same.

I use a 7' H St. Croix Legend Frog & Slop rod for flipping. I have a Revo on it and love the set up!

Get a telescocing 7'6" rod. I like mine. And then just go with whatever brand you like.
