My first Entry:
Just entered 4 fish I caught today. Largest was 25 inches by 17.5 inches girth. My scale put it at 9 lbs 1 oz. (My second largest largemouth to date). But the calculator gave me 9.11. I threw a very big bait all day, and caught fewer than my buddies, but bigger!
You can see the end of the tape just above my middle finger:

I am going for the most fish since I can only catch 2 lb or less.

Not for the southern region. I am notorious for catching bass that are 6 inches or less. Give me time. Once I get a rhythm down for taking the pictures, I will be submitting many more fish. I stopped by my preacher's house today and there is a golf course lake that we can fish. I caught 4 0.5 bass in about 30 minutes. I am thinking about getting a cooler and filling it full of lake water. This should give me plenty of time to measure the fish and take photographs without the fish dying on me. After church tomorrow, it is on.

I've found that all the bigger fish in my lake have moved to the deepest parts, 12'-22'. but they came up to 8' to hit my big bait. I'm thinking of putting some weight on it to try to get closer to the bottom.

Best fish today was 18x13.5. He may have been a wee bit longer, but after a horrible job of landing him and a worse job of pictures, I really wanted to get him into the water again! I think that put him at 3.6lbs. and my string of five stand at right around 16 pounds. I'd post picts. but its late and I'm tired! Good luck to all!

Brushhog, I haven't checked the email yet, but I'll either get to tonight or tomarrow morning. Most likely tomarrow. I've got a list of things to do, and I hardly get any of it done. I blame this site and the addicting habit we all share. Tomarrow I'm gonna try and finish wrapping the guides on a spinning rod I'm building. I never even got about fishing for dinks in my pond.
Good luck to all and remember: be safe of the water! BB

Got an 8 pounder for my 5th fish
Got out to the lake today with a couple of buddies and managed a nice 8 pound bass just before the thunderstorms came in. 24" long by 17" girth. Fish calculator puts her at 8.16. We also got one about 6, and another right at 5.
Here's George with one at sunrise on a popper: This one I was reviving after this pic before measuring her. She flipped right out of my hand! So she didn't make the entry. Here's the 8 pounder
