Got a recipe for home made scrapple from triple D. Guy Fieri finds some sweet dives to check out.

My former father-in-law was a dairy farmer and he made scrapple every fall. Never had better than what he made. I took some to Wheeler and made breakfast - the Indiana boys were not impressed with the breakfast meat, but Donald heard about it and I had a package left so I gave it to him. He obviously enjoyed it and that's what I wanted to hear. I also had pork roll, another breakfast favorite of mine, with egg & cheese in a breakfast sandwich. NFE just prefers Orange Crush and Pop Tarts....................

Wow...
I had neither Orange Crush nor Pop Tarts at Wheeler. Is Scrapple anything like Scrapie? Because I think Boogie is having memory problems.

You know anyone who makes Kielbasa that is smoked and hung out to dry? Used to get it from a butcher shop NW of Pittsburg but farmer/butcher died and land was sold and is now butcher shop is underwater. I'd love to find someone who makes it. Kielbasa Wiejska I believe is it's name. Last edited by 3dkicker; 05-26-11 at 05:24 PM. |
