Ranger question....
I may go look at a 97 RX70 this weekend.
Only has a 90 HP on it, with 30-40 hours (I'm assuming they're referring to the motor only, although they didn't specify). 74# Minn Kota. All the info I have for now. They want 7500. Seems high to me, at least without seein it. Any idea as to the value?

90 Hp ... from '97 also? Two stroke or four? If it IS that old, then the hours don't count ... storage methods do. If it's been properly cared for, and it runs well, then forget it and focus on the boat.
Is the fiberglass good? Are the steering and throttle cables good? A new bass boat is as much as half a house ... 75 hundred for a boat in great shape doesn't seem too much, if you have the money. |

You can look up the blue book value just like a car,I run an 85 stratos, but 2001 merc 200 efi.Age of nonuse is an issue,if you decide to get it treat like new double oil.
From a personal standpoint one can do a lot better with 7k,17 ft javelin with a 150 wouldn't cost but that. If going small in hp trackers and fiberglass boats from bass pro new or used as many have low hp even though rated higher. Rangers older ones have but 1 thing going for them, they don't sink if you forget the plug, otherwise beat one in ride in older boats and everyone else from 1/2 mile away will know its you as have a characteristic hull slap heard not within so much but to those in the direction you are going.
