Default Lake Trakoscan - Croatia

Hi
My name is Goran and I am from Croatia. I fish bass on the best lake in my country, called Trakoscan lake. It is a small lake for you, I fishing from the coast, boats are not allowed. I caught fish about 4,5 lbs in this small lake.
I fishing with my best Fenwick rod (2 parts) 7 feet long and with ryobi zauber spinning reel. Line that I use is Berkley Vanish Transition 4 lb tested.
I use best baits here, yamamoto senko 3", smoke or black colour.
These are photos of some of my fish:

Dude, that is awsome... I have a lot of friends from eastern european countries... they had me believing that nobody fished in europe. That looks like an awesome lake to fish.

Yes we have this trout in river Cetina. Countries in the region, Slowenia and Bosna and Hercegovina has a lot more marble trouts. Personally I do not have very much experience with this fish. Brown trout and rainbow yes.

There are lots of other lakes in Croatia with lots of bass. Lake Borovik, lake Petnja etc. I will put pictures here.

Welcome Goran!

I'm glad to see that bass fishing is becoming popular in Europe as well.

Great pictures. Thank you. I like that rig on your back for your tackle box. It looks like something I could use. I fish from shore a lot too.

In Croatia the bass fishing is very popular for few years. We have a nacional bass league from last year. I am a member of Croatia nacional bass team 2009/2010. In November we are going to World Championship in Portugal (Lake Alqueva). There will be ours first time to catch bass from the boat, like you. I am a little afraid, because although the techniques are similar, fishing from a boat is something completely different. Fish should be bigger too

Goran, I encourage you to participate in other areas of this forum. I think many of us would be very interested in hearing the opinion of a bass fisherman from Europe. It would be interesting to see if there are different techniques, gear and approach used to bass fish on the other side of the world.

Yeah. I heard the toilet water flushes the opposite over there. lol. Just kidding. But it would be neat to hear about European fishing techniques and common fishing practices.

Hey man welcome to the forum!

We've got a great place here, hope you don't mind a little fooling around and teasing, cause we do that about as much as we talk fishing!

Great bass, and great photos man, you can add them to your Albums on your home page if you'd like!

would ya mind telling us about the bait in the above fishes jaw??... who makes it,ect??
it looks like something we could use here on a jig or texas rigged..i don't see a weight in any of your pictures.. so the thought of a SLOW falling bait like that would be awesome..

new and differant have a distint advantage in tournaments..
