And then it was Fall...
I just [finally] got the boat in June. I've had her out 12 times and think I've nearly got the hang of it! I'll confess that sadly, in spite of some effort, I haven't been much threat to the fish population, but oh well.
Now fall is here and I'm holding out in the hope that there may still be a bit of Indian summer and some decent fall fishing, but the handwriting is on the wall. I went to the dealer today to check into their season end motor service, shrink wrap and storage deal. She'll probably get put up for the winter in the next 2-3 weeks. Wish I was further south!

I'm in a similar pickle, Abbey, though not as bad as you. I am wondering when I will step out into the garage, and decide to put the baby to bed for the winter. Not for another month at least.

Its usually about time to put it up when you get week after week of cold rain on the weekends and then they lower the lake. Ya may have one or two sunny days after that buts its about a done deal after first week in December.

Yep, I've been bummed about this for the last 2 weeks now. With rain in the forecast for saturday and sunday, it's about time to put it up for the winter

Abbeysdad, we had snow yesterday and today! It didn't stick at my house but the peaks around me where all white! I believe and hope that this is just a cold snap and I will get plenty more times to go out. In any case it stinks because I have family in town that came up to go fishing and it is not very pleasurable in the snow/sleet/rain with highs in the upper 30s. My target is early to mid November.

Yes, fall is here. I can tell because the high today is only expected to be 86. But we do have a cold spell this weekend where is is in the mid 70's.

Man...it might not be cold where you are, cassidy, but the temperature on this thread dropped several degrees when you posted that.

This has been a cold fall so far and I hate it. I'm determined to get out this comming saturday despite the fact that thursday and friday are expected rain days with highs in the low 50's, and lows in the upper 30's. Friday night is going down into the low 30's, with a partly cloudy and cold saturday with a high of 47. Not really sure how to approach the bass after all that but gonna try.
