2012 is the Year of the Monkey for me, I got to get my stash set up to take to college. No more having my dad's 20 foot tacklebox (the boat). So I'll be ready to show that off. No reason to be ashamed though, we all spend money.

This is a few pictures from last spring. We had to convince my wife that we had a small boat. So no, don't feel ashamed

Wally relax I doubt your married yet and probably not Catholic either. Enjoy! Before my wife developed a love for fishing I used to go into her closet(big enough to park a truck in) and marvel at the shoes and clothes and general loads of crap she had in there. Fed ex truck coming 2-3+ times a month with another box of white tops-HBA's etc etc. There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying the stuff you need/want as long as your not hocking your inheritance or being otherwise foolish to do it. You should be proud that your buying tangible useful goodies instead of spending all your money to buy what you need to hide in the basement and cook up a fresh batch of meth

Wally just wait till the Bass Boat monkey bites you, his buddies the trolling motor chimp and the fish finder ape. Fishing is great because it allows all of us to participate at a level that we can afford and enjoy. You have a great start, enjoy everything you have a don't be in too big of a hurry to aquire your tackle as great deals pop up all the time if you keep your eyes and ears open.
