Gotta fish them!
Why you say......cause mine came WEDESNDAY!

Wanted to wait to fish them cause like Bob said 'to nice to fish'.
But guess what......the bass think they are even nicer than I do!
Only thrown my pumkinseed but 5 Bass!
Have sort of been struggling thru this whole heat crap and my beloved Diabetes and this morning ....well you folks know that when it comes to fishing a new lure I have the patience of a two year old (only day that patience and intellegence are at the same age basis).
I got lipless cranks and as I told Donnie, 'Happier than pig in SH**!

Not only does Donnie have talent, he's a very patient MAN!
I like everything I order on line .....wanted them the next day. Never get it that soon but felt I could pester poor Donnie on probably a weekly basis anyways.....and did.
Very very patient man....even told me I could order more when I e-mailed to thank him. I'm debating just maybe, yes maybe.....give one as a gift.
But told Donnie that the idea was off the table unless he was willing to CREAT me a few more.
Crazy enough......he said sure!

Funny how quickly your/my health improves when fishing is involved. ( Only have missed four days fishing which is really kind of alot for me)
But those 100 plus days really take alot out of me seeing I'm an anti air conditioning idiot.
Anyways thanks for letting me know about Donnie 3dkicker.
I have numerous pics but I for some reason can't figure out how to send pics. Can drop them in my pic file on computer but can't seem to be able to post them here.
Waterboy please help me! After your vaca(job at the resort) is done. Got some fish pics from even back in spring and got so frustrated I stopped taking pics cause I was there and my memory is still pretty good and if I can't pester you folks with them I litterally don't even need a picture.

DONNIE thanks,3D thanks and yes members thanks, you folks really don't know the joy and knowledge you brought me, everyone THANKS!

@joedog.....Do you send him OTC plugs and then he preps and re-paints them, or does he make them from scratch so to speak from blanks.
I plan on ordering a handful of those bluegill patterns painted on some of my favorite balsa and/or wood plugs. I ask because they appear to have 2 or 3+ coats of very high gloss polyurethane and wondered how much weight they gained and if it changed their action any?
I understand bass aren't art critics and I've caught fish on plugs that I've just hit with a can of Krylon, but I want some anyway. Some of the lakes I fish are very clear and 80% of their stomach contents are usually bluegill the exact same size as SR5's and 9's....what could it hurt!

*edit* would you mind PMing me contact info....I'm not lazy..just efficient

Those are awesome baits. I was just reading in the current issue of Bassmaster Mag about custom painted lures.

Shoot those aren't baits....they're works of art!

Does this painter by chance have a website?

He does both. He just repainted a Norman Mad N in bluegill for me. Might be one of the ones above. I haven't noticed much of a difference in weight or any change in action. I've caught a lot of fish on the baits he's repainted for me.

Joe - What paint job did he do for your trap???

To add to KDS's guess, Kopper's Live Target Trap and LC RC DD?

Joe I think you're right about the LC but I think the bait @ center left has a bill even though it's not pictured and I don't see a line tie where one should be on a trap. I fugured the dorsal would be a giveaway but?

Yeah you're right, I was looking at your picture with the white boxes. It's definitely not a trap. I will change my guess to one of the Live Target Bluegill crankbaits then.

Bluegill/pumkin seed on one and like a smallie fry shad cross on the other, gray with dark smallie horizontals. Smallies are really dark out of the river here.
Also mine have a translucent quality. Not clear but if you put to light you can almost make out the rattles inside.
When in dark water it's a tad darker, clear water tad lighter, muddy water a tad muddier if you understand what I'm saying.
I don't have the shad one infront of me at the moment but I wanted Donnie to pick one based on his knowledge of fish and I really liked the first ones you posted Smitty.

Sounds like you've got some good baits. You send him a picture of a fish and he can match it. He loves making them as realistic as he can. He's a big believer in "matching the hatch".
