Default Attacked by both monkeys today.

Ht up walmart today and bought some more popper flies for my new fly fishing problem... then went to Dicks looking for a deep divin crankbait...

Left with...
1 SK 6XD crank in chart powder blue back
1 SK Series 6 crank in sexy shad
1 SK sexy swimmer in Chart Sexy Shad
1 Fat Free Shad in Citrus Shad
1 Fat Free Shad in Chart Blue
1 Gold X-Rap
1 White X-Rap
1 Sexy Shad Zara Spook
1 Black Zara Puppy
1 baby Bass Pop'R
1 Bone colored Pop'R


and now i am burning teh reciept so the wife cant find it..

i went to dicks on friday to get some flourocarbon. somehow spent 90 bucks by the time i left....

I think it's neat that you have gotten this fly "bug", pardon the pun. Pretty soon, and I'd bet a floating rapala minnow on it, you're going to get into making your own flies and poppers. I have approached this opposite way. I learned to make dressed trebles and jig heads and a few flies for fun, but I have yet to try fly fishing. I'm afraid that I'm going to really like.

Wait until you see the spey rod anglers make a cast. It looks so cool.

Ya know.. i dont like makin my own lures... my dad makes spinners, but i just dont have teh patience to tie things like that... so i doubt me ever tying my own flies...

Ha! That's what you say now... I only got into tying dressed trebles becuase my xrap tails were getting old. Then I discovered that there was something therapeutic about the whole process. I am not an artist by any stretch either and I wish I were.

It will get to you when you want to have flies in this color or that color or a combination of colors that just aren't for sale. It is a gradual evolutionary step in fishing... Tackle making and that is another monkey.
