Here's how the ranking works:
0-99 = Member 100-499 = Active Member 500-999 = Veteran Member 1000-4999 = Super Veteran 5000+ = Premier Elite Don't know how high it goes. Highest we've got is Zook at around 10,250. It may change again at 15,000 or 20,000, but I don't know. BB

My old man was in the navy during ww2. He was an electrition on a fuel tanker in the pasific. When I was a kid I never really thought much of it, "Aint like he was on a battleship" After we studied the war in jouior high history, and learned a lot more of the lagistics of war, I realized how brave a fella had to be to work on a tanker.
Fuel tanker = number one target. I had one heck of an old man. Sure do miss him. |

1/4 Stick- Well said, man. Good on ya. My grandpa was a seabee and helped cut airstrips in the New Guinea jungle. I never realized how dangerous that was, either, until I got a lot older. I wish I'd taken the time to talk with him more about it.
Bama- Also, well said. Everything we have in this country has come at the sacrifice of a citizen soldier. There's no way we could ever re-pay our vets. |

My grandpa is a WWII Submarine Vet. It would take me several days to tell all the wild stories of what he went threw in the war. My dad was on a Destroyer in Vietnam. I didn't go that route. I was in the Air National Guard for 14 years and was a Weather Forecaster. I briefed pilots, Generals, Full Birds, ect... before a mission or flight. Could get real crazy on a bad weather day! Of course... weather guys are ALWAYS wrong!!!
