Wait until someone (sucker) you know buys one, give 'em a week or two and then offer $10.00... I bet you get it!

It had a write up in one of the bass magazines. I don't get how it works. The explanation didn't make a lot of sense to me. Now that I've seen the video I'll pass.

I have Dial-Up, so videos are few and far between, but here's the concept..

You thread line through the bowl, and tie up to the shrimp. You drag the bowl over the bed and let it sit on a taught line. When the bass becomes interested, feed some line and let the shrimp float up to the bass's level. Twitch it a few times, then scoot it back into the bowl. After repeating this a few times, the bass should become interested and slam the shrimp.

Although it may seem far-fetched, I like the concept...

i used to say the chatterbait was a gimmick when i first read about it. Last fall was the best fishing with it that I can remember...compared to other baits.

Sounds like it could work, but also sounds like a huge waste of time and money.

It's not a Gimic it works. I am follwing Fukae in FLW. In fact he is my second pick in Flw. I have jay yelas as my first pick. But the Scary part is fukae has'nt fish that long in FLW. And yet he can outfish most of the oldschool pro's. There is a Japanese invasion in bass fishing. They bring proven techniques that are changing the way we fish. Like the Drop Shot, freestyle jig, ichi ban wacky jig,& now the tubo. They are new but these so called gimic's are working. As a past tournament fisherman you need to be open to new ways of fishing. Fish do key on to same old way of doing things & they do get lure shy after awhile. These new techniques work because fish have never scene presentations like these.

I admit 30.00 is alittle high for a tubo. Somtimes they are being sold on ebay from japanese tackle shops. But with no US Suppliers for this items its costing you alot more because it's being shipped directly from japan.

LL just doesn't want to admit that he wouldn't buy that lure... uh... thing. I honestly wouldn't either. I've got better stuff to spend my money on.

I think dragging that through a spawning bed would be very hard on the eggs. From scattering the eggs, to covering them in silt and not letting them get oxygen could easily kill the embryo. I could be wrong though. I guess I always keep conservation and preservation in mind, it is my job.

Good fishin

FF, that's good. I think we should all keep a little conservation in mind. That is why I personally practice C&R.

the cheapest way i can think of is a 3/4 oz weight slipped threw the line. Then tie a ultra light craknkbait to that. Cast it in the area you want to work. Now as the weight comes to a rest on the bottom. Just allow the crankbait to float to the top. Then reel the line tight enough to the weight. Once it hits the weight let the line out and start all over again. 50 cent weight & 3.00 mini crankbait.

I've tried that a bunch of times after reading it in Midwest Outdoors about 5 years ago. I always gave up and nailed 'em with lizards.

I think with this idea, though, you'd want something the lure can get in or under, not just an egg or bullet weight.

It is not an idea that i think that it's worth 30.00 to persue. But if you could find a cheaper way & atleast try. Than i say go for it. Fukae is an awsome young man it's working for him & making big money doing it. Atleast more than the Zook is. But i am intrigued the way japanese fish for bass. I like the lures & technique's i think they refresh the sport.

I Bet you could accomplish the same thing with a small terracotta pot and a craw bait like the Craw Papi Filled with styrofoam.
