Buzzzzzzzz Rod.....
After having a previous discussion about buzzbaits, I thought of something.... What about a 'glass rod for buzzin'?
It makes sense..... When a hard-hitting, fast-reacting bass smacks the buzzbait, the jerks-out. Why? Too fast-reacting of a rod. If this were a 'glass rod, the reaction of the bass would be taken up in the rod and allow you enough time for a good solid hookset. Make sense? -Lunk-

in theory it makes sense.....but in all honesty 9 times out of 10 the fish is missed because the angler set the hook when he seen the explosion and didn't wait until he felt the fish. and a glass rod or even a cane pole wouldn't slow down a hookset that is triggered by eyesight.

The only reason I want a 'glass rod is that it will absorb the action of the bass, allowing for a hookset and inhalation of the hook.

C-Rig, I never really set the hook on a Buzzbait. I just keep reeling at the same pace till he starts fighting, then I'll give it a little tug to get the hook in there.
LL, You could just use a rod with a slower action. BB
