Back from Florida....
We had a great time visiting with our daughter and son-n-law, and since I didn't get to go fishin while I was there, I was really needing a "fishin fix" once I got home.....But, I got back to find out that my only fishin buddy sold our classic old fishin boat back to the guy we bought it from two years ago....lol. The guy just couldn't find another boat he liked as well as this old 66 model Kingfisher....hahaha....So he offered my buddy more then he sold it too us, then when he realised we had upgraded the trolling motor and added a locator, so he upped the offer again.....and my buddy Ron couldn't pass it up and sold it back to the guy, so we are in the market for another fishin boat.......Anybody near Arkansas got an old Basstracker they wanna sell cheap?

Damn, that really sucks man! He should have at least checked in with you before he sold it.

Yeah, It kinda sux that we ain't got nuthin to fish out of right now, but that boat never did fit our needs other then let us get on the water.....I'm sure we can find a decent deal on something that will suit us better, just gotta keep our eyes and ears open and put out a few feelers....hopefully something will turn up before long and we can get back on the water....in the mean time I suppose i'll do some bank fishin.
As a side note: I was told today by a marine mechanic, that the EPA set down some new rules that stopped production of parts for all "carburetor" marine engines as of Jan 1.....anyone else heard anything like this? I hate to think we might buy some used boat and motor only to find out that the because it has carbs and not fuel injection that we can't get parts for it any longer. |

Haha. Sucks that you're currently boatless but when you get paid to store the guy's boat and use it in the meantime, it's all good!
It's a buyer's market, King. You'll find somethin
