Talking Both my Brothers PB's!!

Congrats to my two brothers, they caught there PB's tonight, a 6.50lber (younger), and a 7.89lber (older)!!

They cheated though! Them folks where using bluegill for bait! ....

So we left home around 7:00, and left a 8:30, me, my dad, my mom, older, and younger brothers came too, the whole lot of us!

Well, the little bro was busy catching the blue gills for us (yes, I was using gills too; but caught nuthin!) he was having FUN!!! My mom saw my dads bobber go down and slow started reeling it in. My little bro put his blue gill catching duties down for a while and checks out mom, my mom gives the pole to him and he sets the hook! It jumped a few times and than he brought it over to the bank and I went down to lip it for him. It jerked and twisted when I lipped it and gave a hurttin on my thumb! He was screamin' hoopin' and hollerin' when I gave it to him! It was gut hooked so we kept it; it was also a fat bass! Than he continued catching bream for us!

So than it's my bros turn, he catches a little two pounder and also gut hooked it, so we kept it also. Than my little bro caught him an other blue gill, about 6", nice big one, he puts it on and than cast it out. No more than five minutes later, his bobber goes down deep, he waited about a minute and set the hook on it. She pulled HARD, and pulled drag on him, long 4 minute fight, he pulled it on to land and I run down and lip it! We all said it was about 8lbs. Very fat bass! Sadlly, it was also gut hooked, and we had to keep it too!

Here's the pics!

Nice fish. Too bad about getting outfished by your Brothers. I am sure they didn't mention it or anything.

Boss, I got nothing against you keeping the fish, and a big praise to your bros. But a lot of times you can clip the line as low as possible and let nature due its thing. I have caught healthy fish with the eye sticking out of their throat from another gut hooker. And i have cleaned fish with gut hooks and there is heavy rust on it from the stomach acid eating on it.

Nice fish!

I once caught a bass with a partially digested worm hook hanging out of its rear.....so they can live even if they swallow a hook.

Man, those are some nice fish. They weren't excited or anything, were they?
