Default Is this a good rod for

weightless senkos and texas rigging, worms and craws and such soft plastic baits and if so what else is it good for, and what size line should I use Im thinking 15 or 17 lb test?

I use a 733 rod for the techniques you mentioned: t-rigs, worms, senkos. I personally use 12lb test and wouldn't go over 15lb unless you're fishing in very heavy cover.

You've got a great stick right here. Very versatile. IMO it'll rally shin with senkos, texas rigged plastics (beavers, worms, etc), and light jigs around 1/4. Some people like a longer rod like that for spinnerbaits, but I personally like a shorter one for accuracy's sake. I would personally put 30 pound braid on which ever reel you chose.

I would say that's the ideal length, power and action for those soft plastic techniques. That's a very versatile rod. I would use 12 lb line unless fishing a lot of heavy cover. My advice to you would be to find out for yourself what other baits work well on a particular rod. Experiment a little, what works well for me might not work for you. I too use a 733.

I prefer a Medium rod for lighter plastics but that's just me. But yeah, your rod will work for about anything and everything. Spool with 12 or 14LB mono. Or fluoro if u like it.
