Default A little soft water and fish for my frozen brothers

I went out to Lower Otay yesterday to prefish for my upcomming tourney.
I started with TopWater, but couldn't get hit. There were a few busters around, but they didn't have interest in my gunfish.
Switched over to the chatterbait and picked up one keeper, but nothing large.
It took me a while to find them, but once I did, the bite was on. I lost 2 on back to back casts with a 6" skin and bones worm. Manged to pick up a few, but didn't want to fish out the spots.

I switched over to a brushhawg and began flipping the trees and tullies. Manged to pick up a few more. The biggest was a little over 3.

Not a lot of pics, but here is some soft water.

Here was the first brushhawg fish. Not huge, but still fun

Lastly, my new swimbait. Matts Lure true trout. Nothing caught on it yet, but I have high hopes.

Ended the day with several keepers and 3 fish lost.

Man you are killing me. I have to hear your stories of fishing and warm weather in the chat room and now these pictures to prove it. Looks like a good day, I see flipflops in the bottom pic and any day in flipflops is a good day.

Looking good Cass, we shouldn't be too far behind on the warm weather.

Thanks for the wonderful pics of nice soft water. Gotta hit that darn lottery. That's a nice looking trout. I have one of his original bluegills and a baby bass. Haven't caught anything on either but I keep throwing them.

He came on the chat the other night crying how he broke his bestest good rod in the garage door, had us all crying and feeling sorry for him. Then that EX - VA REDNECK busts out pictures like this. It does look like he a good day though.

That first pic is beautiful, Cass. Man, I'll probably start casting in my sleep, dreaming about it.

Thought I should bring this up now. I sleep in the buff, am prone to sleep walking, and have been known to start casting on the front porch sound asleep. Will this be a problem for any of you's?
Holy crap Bryce, you don't do it naked, like Keith do you? I'm thinking I'm going to need blindfolds, a spare lock or two for the door, and a trail cam for the porch so I can post pics here after the Wheeler gig.........

Oh man... These pictures are really making me want to fish... And when that happens, but I can't go fishing, the monkey starts acting up. So thanks a lot Cass!

Nice fish and swimbait though, you lucky open-water-bassturd!

While these pics are nice, it is my goal to have better pics this week from the opening tourney of the season. Beautiful water is not as pretty if I get skunked.

Pretty sure flip flops are a prison shower requirement

Cass, I'd LOVE to fish those trees!
C'mon April!
