Default First nice northern of the year!

Caught me a nice northern today bass fishing... she went 32" which is about average. Didn't have a scar on her unlike all the other's I've caught.

It also had something none of the others had.

Two blind eyes! But he'll still taste good, that's for sure!

So Sam, which was it? Guess you checked. Or did you correct the determination of gender after you found out it was blind.

Pike are always a blast to catch. Good fighters for sure. I'm curious though about this particular pike. Being it was blind in both eyes, did you notice any difference in "her" fight compared to other pike you have caught? I would think a blind fish wouldn't make as good a fighter since they can't see anything around them. Maybe I'm thinking too much like a human.

I didn't really notice a huge difference between the fight in this one and any other's I've caught. Seemed just as wiley as ever to me, jumped once too! Got bit off by a pike today on a bass frog too! lol

Way to be a prude on the technicalities.

Nice fish Sammy, I have never caught one of those toothy monsters but hope to get far enough North to give it a try sometime.
