Smile I am back for good.

I have left the darkside and back with the force. I will never pick up a Flyrod again.

I consider my self to be a talented Flytier. I just never fit in and because its fly fishing every cost so much more than other methods of fishing.

Flytying is an art. I have no way to justify the high dollar equipment for flyfishing.

Funny since I used my flyrod recently this year and haven't done so in a long time......didn't catch anything either. Finally got a chance to use one of Walt's Poppers that he hand made in front of me at a show. Too bad he retired because he had lots of information on building many different baits and he had some great stories too.

When you go full on with a fly rod it is called " going code " and no spinning or casting reels are on board. When you decide that a fly rod is needed for LGMouth it is called chuck and duck. No false casts, no pretty loops and no wasted energy. Hit the pie pan size holes and move on real quick. All the while the trolling motor is on. I suspect that LGMouth on a fly rod is kinda like the missing link between Neanderthal and Homo sapiens and can never be fully understood.

But I may be wrong.
