Default Centuries or Eons worth of fishing here? Let's Find Out!

I am willing to bet that there is probably well over 1000 years of combined experience and knowledge among all of us here.

I am curious to see (what else is there to do during the winter blues) what that number looks like.

I am relatively new to fishing and just about ending my 5th season, so that's just 5 years for me.

Take the number of years you've been fishing (bass and other species) and add it to mine and leave the result at the bottom of your post and the next person will add their years to it.

Combined years of experience here at Bass Resource

1) IB - 5 years
2) (next person)

Fun post, IB. I like it...

If we're not including bobber + cricket fishing, just "serious" fishing, I've got maybe 4 years of "experience."

117 + 4 = 121

I'm assuming any type of fishing, not just bass.

134 +7 = 141

235.5+40=275.5. I guess I am the old man here. Mind you that is since I was sixteen. Fished a lot with dad before that.

Keep em coming guys! The answer is yes to all inquiries!

As for the decimal, it might too confusing for some us to add, so I'll round up to avoid calculation headaches. Who knows... It might cause some to not add their years of experience.

We're at 276

Quickly! We need someone with just 4 years of fishing experience to get to this:

Since I still have my ipod calculator out, lets have some fun with math!

OK, I count so far 19 guys reporting, with 296 years experience....that averages out to 15.57 years per man.

If we were to take that small sample and apply it to every member registered here (5,967), we would as a site have 92,959 years experience in bass fishing....

Of course that sounds good, but many of those members have vanished into space, but it shows you just a glimpse of the info that is available online. So much that the job isn't acquiring more info, but rather processing through the reams of info that you already got.
