Default Kansas Bass

Been wanting to upload a few pics of some of the bass we have been catching here in South Central KS, the water temps have warmed and the bass are just about done with their spawn.

Most were caught finesse fishing straight tail worms on light shakey heads, this is not my favorite way to fish, but it is a lot more fun than not catching anything.

Nice pics and good fish, Tony. I love finesse fishing, but I think I am way in the minority on that...

Nice fish Tony!

I feel the same way about most finesse fishing. I do love dropshotting though.

Thanks, they were all caught from the same sandpit. I will have to work on the smiling for the camera.

They have bass in Kansas? haha, just kidding Tony. Those are some real beauts! Sand pit bass fishing can be great. They have some in southern Indiana I've read about that produce some real whoppers!

Thanks, the bite has really turned on here as well. We fished Butler Co. Lake early in the week and did well. We caught somewhere between 30 and 40 fish. Largest was close to 5, and couple that were around 4 and many 2 and 3 pound fish. The best part was that most of them came on frog fishing, it was a lot of fun.

Seems like everyday for the last month it's been windy. I've been killing them from the bank after work each morning the last couple days though despite the wind and storms. No monsters but lots of numbers of chunky fish. Did get a couple really big white bass in the 2-2.5 pound range. Even had a double and a 19" saugeye this morning

Good looking fish, I plan to get out tomorrow 6/1 , now that the wind has decided to calm down a bit.
