So, it will be the weekend right before the 20th?
Or the weekend after?

I'll be arriving Wednesday evening the 23rd, and will be needing a room in the Harbor House for four nights.

as it stands now we have 7 confrims. if you look at rentals it would be cheaper just to book both floors. it list it sleeps 20 with 8 bedrooms but the kicker is ea rom only as one bed excet the two with twins. if we rent it for the 23rd to the 27th.... that comes out to 272 dollars and change per person. also mallen mention that his girl freind may be coming. i have no problem with that or any spouse coming. but i think we need to make sure that everyone is on board with her sleeping in harbor house. i am not trying to piss anyone off but i think this needs to be settled before we arrive and then fine out someone as trouble with it or someones spouse fines out and raise holy heck. . so far the following are coming . mallen for the life of me i cannot remember your first name i hate to keep calling you mallen

don and son in law jeff
ron and adam

Have you figured the outrageous TN taxes in your calculation? NFE got a wee bit pinched in 2012 when he didn't figure the 15% tax bite (may have been more) when he informed us what we owed. He graciously ate that error, don't think you'd want to do that on that large a unit. If my plans change I'll make my own arrangements, any trip of that distance will be at least 7 days.

A few points and questions.

Bryce.......YES!!!!!!!! ; )
Bubba.......; ( One of these days we'll get a chance to catch some fish worth lyin about!
nobass.....no worries. While I doubt anyone will have a problem with me living in sin, in the harbor house, lol, I have zero problem if you throw it out there. IF it is a problem, I will stay somewhere else. Last thing I would want to do is make anyone uncomfortable.

Also, I'm assuming we'll have the Harbor House pretty much full up. Someone (Woody?) had mentioned a while back that it would be 38 bucks per night per room?

Couple points on that.
1-If we're full up, and I have one of the cheaper rooms (definitely will if I come alone), I am fine with paying a percentage share. For instance....if my room was 35, but averaged out equally, all rooms were 40, I'll gladly pay the 40 bucks for a $35 room. I've been DYING to attend a Zookerfest, before it was even named as such.

Also, I think, unless we can only fill one floor, we need to make sure we lock up the entire house. If that means I'm payin 50 for a 35 room, I'm good with that. Anyone have thoughts on that subject?

If we're locking it up from the 23rd to 27th, what are the chances we can get the same rate, per person, if someone comes early, or stays late?
My nights wil most likely be the 24th-29th. Since the 29th is a Tuesday, I'm assuming it would be slow for the marina. IF they have nobody renting it after the 27th, would a few hangers in be able to keep their rooms at the same price?

Thank you nobass, for hosting this event.
If there's ever a Zookerfest on Crystal Lake, I'd be glad to host! ; )-

I'm going to try to come, along with my wife, so put the two of us down as strong "maybes."
We'll be fine with any arrangements that work out the cheapest/best for everybody. No worries.....

mike i don't have a problem with co edt never did just want to stop any problems later if someone did. i have reserved the harbor house from 21 to 27 april today i will have pay 500 desposit in jan. , . we will only have to pay for nights we use it. it is 382 a night. i will divide that by the no. of nights staying ie. if we have 6 people staying wed night the 382 plus tax will be split 6 ways.no one room is cheaper. we are paying for whole harbor house not by room. 1st come 1st served. also if anyone wants to come for whole week they will be responsible to pay for harbor house mon and tue. if you want to stay longer than the 27th it is up to you to make arrangement. the tax for whole week is 232 dollars. boat slips cost 10 a night or 50 a week. you must make that resv. that is the discounted rate normal is 15 day 75 week . if anyone has any question please say so. we will ALL decide on how it works out also if we do have couples they can stay on one floor. while singles stay on other if room permits

I have a question about the discounted slips, does everyone staying at the Harbor House get this discounted rate.

Don, thanks for stepping up and hosting. So far, you are doing a fine job!

I agree completely!

Nobass, it was actually someone else who mentioned the fish fry initially.
I plan on hosting a meal one of the nights, but not a fish fry ; )

Those of you that have never fished Dale Hollow need to be aware that this lake has a 16-21 inch slot limit on smallmouth bass. You are daily allowed to keep one under 16 inch and one over 21 inch.

What's the crappie situation? Good...or crappie......?
Bass just don't taste that good. And pan fish/perch are so much more tasty!

I'd be cool with tryin to nail some crapie for the fry though.
Especially if John is makin Shut Up Dogs.......

I have heard that the crappie can be hard to find. Besides the crappie though, the lake does produce bluegill, sunfish, rockbass, walleye and if you can find them trout.
