Default CBBT Sat and Sun Report

The fun bunch got together for our annual hunt for cobia and reds. Launched at Kipptopeake and setup on the north end of Lattimer Shoals. Chum in and much live bait caught as the tide turned in. Once set with a moving tide we set out many lines and a few live baits on bobbers. Nothing but sharks for 4 hours. Got one 6 foot black tip and the rest sand sharks of every size. Tide slowed and wind was kicking to 20 out of the north. Not pleasant but at 2pm it died down to to 10 or less. Ran to Fishermans Island and setup on the drum spot as tide started out and could not get 12 ozs to the bottom so we moved around a few times and found a seam of slower water. Lasted maybe an hour and we packed up when it started to rip again around 8 pm. Only two small sharks for that 6 hours there. Sunday decided on 9 foot shoal and stopped short of it due to lots of marks. Set up and bailed sharks and rays for 6 hours straight. Ran out of chum and bait as the bite died. Got one dusky in the mix about 5 feet.
No target fish acquired in two days of fishing. Laughed so hard my sides hurt. Had a great time and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Nothing wrong with catching sharks.
Glad you had a good time.

Never caught a shark before, but I bet they are a lot of fun to bring in.

We hooked and landed around 60 total and about 12 rays too. Most under five feet but a few where over 5 to 6 feet. They fight really good and run left and right if can stop them.
Fire drills as 6 lines start to do a perfect weave that can not be untangled..
Stand up Ande rods with baitrunners and 50 lb braid.
