working on my
kentucky windage today. once the rain stopped and the wind came up .thank god it did not blow 15-20mph nope try 30-40 with higher gust. i was actually working on my golf game. firing a spinner bait at the nose of the boat only to have it slice heavily and enter the water about even with my postion on the boat. i broke a quatum reel to day -anti revrese gear went snap-caught 5 short fish -3 were close 13.5+"- partner caught 2 decent bass. one on a jig one on a spinnerbait. he caught several short fish. all in all i had fun even if i don't like this lake. still can't belive the 21 pound winning weight-that was impressive for our club..

Dood sorry bout the busted reel. Hey at least you got to feel a tug on the line. Better than ppl with frozen ponds. Sounds like you had a good time.

no ken one of the yadkin chain -tillery- one of the reasons i dislike this lake is every creek is a differant color. the main lake was muddy some creeks were stained others were clear..

One of the biggest reasons I gotta get a Glass boat, the wind just kills me, even a 10 mph in my Flat bottom aluminum. I fight it constantly, and get ticked too often when it pushes me around where I wanna be casting.

Yea Lizards, one thing about heaven...oops I meant to type Florida...is that it tends to be very windy down there on those shallow bowls so its easy to get pushed around.

Sounds like a typical day there Zook ! Just joking, didn't know that you had a broken Quantum reel, that is a bad deal.
Did you know that the second place had 12.35 lbs. by HIMSELF. I think he goes by (bmn 30)! This guys partner stated that he would like to fish Tillery more often, and his partner agreed. Man there's some good fish in this body of water. You just got to know where to find 'em !
