tuckertown 11-5-06
as i eased away from the dock at 7 am i grinned and nailed it a brisk 28 degree morning was just dawning.. the run at wot- 36 mph- for about 25 mintues was err BRISK to say the least.as i climbed off plane i saw bass busting shad like gang bangers..in the flowing 58 degree water. at the indian dam. i started with a dt 6 shad color and got 3 one about 2 pounds -twice the fun since the turbines were spinning 1/2 mile away- the stien hung one and he got off as he got me around a rock. the troller locked on 3 to just hold in this intense currant. i started using a spook would NOT touch it for nothing at any speed. tryed a spook jr had them rush it only to stop short.. a sammy had them rush it again stopping short.deeper i dig into the top water box i come out with a dawg 100 in clown color-red fish bait- totally differant color then any of the prior top water baits. and they was all over the dawg -like rats on a cheeto- i was working it very very fast. i had 2 fish on at the same time only to lose one at the boat boated a 3 pounder these were not shorts like i first thought but most 2-3 pound bass. i was on them for better part of a couple of hours over 75 bass caught -i lost count in the 70's- the dam controlers stopped the turbines at 9:30 am and poof not a bite after that.. of all them bass i did get 3 white bass in the frey and a 2.3 pound black crappie..whoo hoo was i stoked.
i then move to the mouth of cabin creek in the doa hydrilla the stien and dt6 were on 3 bass a 4 pounder loaded up on the stien just off a stump .. at newsome i caught a good sized bass on a fluke that immeditly tried the old wrap you up in the dead hydrilla. nice move but 50 pound calcutta ultra braid still yanked him in hydrilla and all 5 pounds of hydrilla 1.5 pound bass.. at one of my main lake spots i caught 4 bass 2 on a pnj one on a t-rigged 8" worm and one on a crankbait.. i headed back to the launch ramp. i had alot of fun. kinda disapointed the turbines only ran 2 hours -whats up with dat?-one of the best days i have EVER caught bass. definatly the best day this year.. sorry guys i was not taking pictures and fighting that currant while trying to fish. -i was having my hands full just catching them with the troller hanging on by it's finger nails.. zooker

I'm extremely jealous. That's one you will always remember.

Theres already a Stein being tested in Central Florida. In fact it works fine and is starting to look a little beat up.
