Default Chartreuse/Bluegill

Here's one reason why chartreuse is such a common and effective color for many Bass lures.

Local "brim" were bedding their brains out today. As a reference to Crankbaits tripod thread I had Pam hold these gills at different angles...even the last one stretched out towards camera as far as possible still looked pretty natural.

No doubt if you were fishing with a shallow crank, spinnerbait or swim jig with colors made to match that gill you'd be into some action. The gills around my parts run a little darker. But you sure can see the chartruese throughout that that gill. I'd sure like to have a dozen like that one for dinner!
