Has anyone heard about the "Bass University"
I just saw a few minutes ago where they are having a 2 days of fishing "classes" in different parts of the country. They are calling it "the bass university." The website is www.thebassuniversity.com. They will be in Nashville towards the end of January. For the two days, it is $225. Here is the speaker list: Gerald Swindel, Dave Wolak, John Crews, Randy Howell, Michael Iaconelli, Pete Gluszek. I think it will be worth it, but I am hoping that someone has attended a previous class and could let me know what you thought of it. I welcome anyone's thoughts on the subject.

The bass club im in had a whole bunch of guys go to it. two of the senior members have been going for a while, and said it was really worth it. They all had a great time, and they say you almost get your money back in free gifts, more than your moneys worth in information

Thanks a lot for the information. I think that I will go and check it out. Now, I just have to convince my wife that I need to go! Wish me luck fellas! I think a nice dinner and flowers will do nicely before I bring up the subject!

BASS used to do this all the time. I don't know why they quit. I went to one maybe 20 years or so ago. Some of the instructers were: Larry Nixon, Mark Davis, Jay Yelas, Robert Hamilton, Don Iovino and others that escape me. It was good and I did learn some things but if you read alot about bass fishing, as I do, and you watch alot of bass fishing on TV, as I do, you're probably not going to hear anything that's really new to you.
However, my experience was enjoyable in that it was live and you got to hear it from the pros and ask questions so they went into more detail than you sometimes get in print or on TV. Go for it. |
