Got monkey?
Went to Cabelas to use the gift card I had. Saw a Steez 7ft mh for a $100 off. Almost did it. Instead bought a Cumara CUC68mh for Senkos since I didn't have a committed rod for worms. Got it for $149. Looking for a reel now, any thoughts?

Those Cumaras are really nice, Bob...I think you made the right choice.
How much are you looking to spend on that reel? For senkos, I would get something with free spool casting, and magnetic braking, so you can really let it fly. See if you can get a hold of last years Revo STX. There are gazillions of them still out there, and a lot of people want to sell them cheap ($100-$130). (Though for some reason, there are still idiots on ebay who are trying to sell them for $199 and higher...)

Nofear haven't put a limit on a reel yet. I do have a STX and really like it. Unless I can find a reel very cheap I probably will go with a Revo or Curado. I am also thinking of the new Citica. Want to wait a while to see how people like them.

This would be the only time I'd recommend a Shimano reel, but not the citica. If it's in you're budget, get a Shimano Core. I've held a Core/Cumara combo, and it is amazing.
As for the new Citica, I've got one and they're not that great. I use mine for jigs and pitching, so I don't know how they'd do with lighter t-rigs or small senkos. My first choice would my a Daiwa Aggrest, Viento, or Zillion, then a Revo. I use my Viento w/ the twitchin bar for senkos. I find I can impart a great action to the senkos with the twitchin' bar. BB

But congrats on the the new stick man! A Viento Would do nice for that I must say! And they're onsale at tackle warehouse too!
One a side note: Watch out using that cumara in heavy cover. They're not really made for a lot of stress.

Personally, I don't see why they would take less stress than any other rod in its class. BB

I think the Cumaras were actually designed with the Core in mind. The colors match, just like the new Vendettas and the new Revo SX.
Folks, we've entered the "Fashion Age" of fishing.
