Default What kind lure or bait did you use to catch your biggest bass?

What kind lure or bait did you use to catch your biggest bass so far?

For me, I caught my biggest LM and SM both on crankbait.

Large mouth was a spinner bait with 1 willow blade gold and the end was a big Colorado blade silver with dimples.

Small mouth was a Zillas tequila sunrise wobbler crank.

my biggest bass came on a shiner. it was 26" skinny and post spawn so it had just dumped its roe, probably 8-10 lbs. Have caught a lot of big fish on lures, crankbaits and buzzbaits have probably consistantly produced my biggest fish.

A 3.27 LM on a white and chart. chatterbait. About a week later I had two that went at least 4 break me off near the boat, both of them were on green pumpkin wacky worms (zoom finese).

Only 8.4, but caught on a 6-weight fly rod, 3 lb test tippet, and a tiny popping bug while fishing for bluegill. Hence my name.
Actually, FlyRod IS my name. I was born FlyRod BushRod Jitterbug BoomerSooner Wood. My mom suddenly experienced labor pains and her "water" broke while she and Dad were at the Fort Sill OK Rod and Gun Club, attending a fishing seminar entitled "Monofilament Line. Will It Replace Braided Silk?" . As it happened, that evening's entertainment was being provided by a remarkably limber OU cheerleader.
Mom was placed atop the table where they were seated and there, a few moments later, I arrived. I'm told that the first thing I did was reach for my "rod" and whistle at the cheerleader.
True? Well, of course it's true! Geez!

8.4 on a 6 wt? Nice. Does Texas have line class records?

Mine came just recently on a white spinnerbait with indian/colorado gold blades, a white skirt with just a couple of strands of darker material mixed in and a trailer hook.

Biggest smallmouth came on an Edge baits speedfall fished in a creek, roughly 5 pounds. Wish I had had a picture of that fish.
