I Got My Notice !!!!!
I got my notice that I have been accepted as a co-angler in the 2008 BASSMASTER Central Open Tournament at LAKE TEXOMA - DENISON TX.
I hope I do well enough to get to fish the last day, which would mean that I was in the top 25 co-anglers. At any rate, I am looking foreward to it, should be a blast! JackL

That's great! How do you go about being/applying for a co-angler at such a big tourney?

Congratulations. Bring a life jacket and a rain suit. I've fished Big Tex a bunch and it can get to rolling. You'll get wet in a hurry when the wind blows and the wind almost "always" blows down there.

Congrats, Jack! Go get 'em!
Just be sure to take your raingear-you know what happens every time you come to Texas to fish.

REB,
I was thinking a hard hat for the hail and body armor for the 'naders. Both of which I have ran into in the past while fishin' Fork. JackL

Good luck, sounds like a very cool experience. Is it a daily draw for the partner/boater?

REB,
Glad you advised that you need rain! I am heading for Fork on March 9th or 10th for 5 or 6 days, and I am sure that will bring rain, hail or 'naders, it generally does when I come to TX. I havn't fished Fork for several years, been fishing Alan Henry or Amistad instead, but I have been told by a buddy who has a cabin on Fork that it is coming back. He says the only problem is that you have to take a number to get into the coves on weekends, that is why I am coming down the first part of the week. Fill your sandbags and get the chillin' to higher ground, put the hounds on the roof and the chickens roostin' in the willow trees. JackL
