Default Here is a little kitty

So while I have been catching green trout and getting beat up by cypress trout. This guy Tim Trigger has been setting up and fishing for big kitties on the Potomac the last three years. I see him and his dogs many times as I fish the spring season. Nice guy who had some friends down from NY to fish with him this last weekend. And in 15 minutes broke the Maryland State record at 79lbs.

Tim did not get the rod so the record goes to NY resident Jayson Zorda.

I have a new benchmark for the fall. 80lbs..

Outstanding C&R BTW..

Thats a huge cat, i know they catch some huge ones on Santee Cooper which is about 2 1/2 hours from me. Last time i went i caught a 24lber on a bass rod, thought it was gonna break. I looked up our state record for blues and it says 109lb 4oz.

But i couldnt imagine catchin one that big, hope you catch the next record.

Hey Captain... any idea where they got this fish? Was it at Ft. Wash? And is he the guy I see out there with the black mako all the time?

Tim Trigger has a Carolina Skiff with the layover rod bar on back. Lots of white rods and baitcasters. He normally has a couple of dogs with him.

Yes Ft Wash..
