Check out this Chunk!
Hey guys I took my 7yr old brother out fishin this mornin at my pond. We left the house at about 6:15. We have to walk about 3/4 mile to get to the pond but it has some good bass in it as well as 7-10 inch bluegill. The bass are normally very hard to catch.(The bigger ones anyway) My little bro got the first fish of the day on a white riverside grub on a 1/16 oz jighead. It was about a 8 inch bass. He lets her go and I throw out a rebel pop-r in baby bass color. About halfway back I see a swirl right next to it and I pull and a bass comes jumpin out of the water. Shes about 8 inches also. About half an hour passes and I tie on a Manns Baby 1 Elite in Bluegill. I just had a gut feeling about this one. First cast with it goes to the other side of the pond. I hold my rod tip high so that the bait doesnt catch in weeds. About half way back I see a swirl. It starts pullin and it fells a little bigger. Thats when she swims strait at me and buries me in 3 lbs of weeds. i swing the fish up on the bank and start uncovering her from the weeds. I look at her and I see the fattest and widest bass I have ever even seen. She was like 15inches but close to 2 lbs. I got a picture and put her back to fight another day.
