New guy here
Hey everyone. I'm Chris. I am in the Army, stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC. I've been fishing since I was knee high to a cricket. I pretty much stick to bass fishing, but once in a while get to the ocean for some striper and assorted inshore angling. Besides fishing, I enjoy tactical shooting, cigars, hanging out with my son (he's 15 months) and trying to get my wife to understand the madness that is bass fishing (WHY do you have to have ANOTHER crankbait!?! is a common phrase in my house) My favorite gear is JB Customs Rods, Revo reels, and Custom Lures Unlimited crankbaits. I don't own a boat right now, but the next deployment I have, I plan on getting one. Good to meet all of you.
PS. I didn't know you all had a "Doc" already. I guess if he's a real doc like I am, I'll get a mod to change my name Chris |

I have a winch, an a few SX's. I love them. I used to use Daiwa reels, but after using my friends Revo for an hour I switched over.

There are some great lakes close by, Jordan, Shearon Harris, Kerr, Norman, Santee Cooper all within 3 hours of me. Not too shabby for a weekend adventure. Plus, Ft. Bragg is pretty much the center of the "I can kick your ***" universe. 2 SF groups, the 82nd Airborne, and Delta Force on this lil ol' base....

As a former USMC grunt, I will tell you that I will buy a beer for any Doc (Corpsman/Medic) and Helo pilot I run into.

I fished mostly in the chagres river and in the bay.I was there in '85- Nov.'89.At the time I was there , it wasn't real safe to be a American out and about. You had to travel in teams, report where you were going, most places were off limits for us to go.I remember swimming in the Chagres river quite abit prior to my friend catching a 60 lb Hammerhead shark.Needless to say I swam in the swimming barrier area in the bay from then on. lmao......
