Wow! Kevin is such a nerd! The Geospatial Advantage.
http://www.bassfishin.com/videos/fis...layer.php?v=11
Watch this video some time! It's a great! Tells a lot about Google earth and other things like it (Nassa world wind etc.). It tells how to use it for an anglers advantage. It a little long (42.00min). I though everyone should know about this, one of my favorite videos on the site. It gives the edge you would need for a torrny. Tells about weather, topo maps, and much, much more. Great job Kevin! Check it out, you will not be disapointed! ~SJ

Have already seen it. Yea it pretty good video. Not that I've learn anything from it. Good for newbies IMO. Other than that, Kevin does a heck of a job on video and such.

This is the video that brought me to Bassfishin.com. Students in the RIT Bass Club used it as the topic of a seminar during one of our meetings. They are now putting to good use much of the great tips found in it. Again, great job Kevin.

the link for the Google Earth KML has changed...
the Latest link is: http://www.gelib.com/ng-topo.htm or for the Google Earth KML file: http://www.gelib.com/wp-content/uplo...ng-topo_nl.kml I have found with this map that sometimes you need to zoom way out and then back in before it kicks in... and in some areas it has several layers, has just the overview at farther viewing but as you zoom in, it actually has some underwater depth contrours of some larger lakes and oceans front areas. and just open it in Google Earth as originally explained. screwballl..... Hey thanks so much for finding the updated link for the USGS topo KML file. I get calls and emails non-stop about that file being moved and I've looked everywhere for the new page to direct people to.
I'm going to update The Geospatial Advantage resources and links page to reflect the changed URL. I'd like to give you credit for finding it! If you want me to give credit to your real name... just tell me and I'll do that instead of 'screwballl'. Thanks so much! You just saved me a lot of work and made a BUNCH of people happy! |

Nah no worries Kevin, its all to help the community... I am a computer tech anyways so finding this stuff is (usually) quick and easy for me, fishing is just an added bonus that I get to use the tools for.
