Beck deserves to be made fun of in that way. He has a shtick with the crying and the chalkboards that makes it easy to not take him seriously. He also tends to not lie, but he plays fast and loose with history and quotes sometimes. I wish he would get more serious about things and have more of an intellectual as opposed to emotional bent, because sometimes the subject matter can be interesting - he had an entire show the other day about the 17th amendment. Where else on TV will you get that?

His emotions seem over the top to you (and me sometimes...sort of in the same way Michael Savage is fun to listen to), since you are already interested in the subject matter. However, I think if he were a "dead pan delivery" kind of guy, the average person would have found him as interesting as their 5th grade history teacher, and you and I would have never even heard of him.

Me? I'm just happy (thrilled actually) there is someone on TV (and radio) charismatic enough to get Average Joe to listen when he talks about things like the 17th Amendment. Frankly, on the strength of his feature on James Madison alone, I must say Beck rules.....
