So I bought the Johnny Morris Elite Baitcaster….
Anybody else pick this up at BPS for $130.00? Couldn’t pass this up. The Signature (Silver) is $120 and Gold series $170. I hope the Gold is still around when they have their Spring Fling thingamajig.
I was also eyeing the new Rick Clunn (RCX) purple baitcaster. The BPS guys say it’s the same as the last RC (Blue) just in purple. But I don’t think so. It actually feels lighter and smoother. Maybe it’s the power handle, but it sure seems like a more solid feeling reel. |

I own a couple of the JM reels. I do not think you will be disappointed with it. The only thing I will say is that the externally adjustable brakes have popped out of place a couple of times. It is a simple fix to snap them back into place, but it can be a nuissance.
