Default Cabela's gift card

Got a Cabela's gift card at our annual banquet over the weekend and I need to replace a crankbait rod. Saw that they don't carry the Quantum KVD rods at all. Anybody familiar with Cabela's have an idea if they carry crankbait rods? Got about $130 to spend and looking for something to sling a 1/2oz trap. I'll be replacing a St. Croix 6'6" Med glass rod.

They sell the Shimano Compre Crankin rods. Plus if you buy now you will get $20 back through a mail in rebate... you could use that for some lures or something...

$20 rebate is a nice discount on a $100 rod. Thanks for the help.

Looking at them had me wondering what High modulus TC4 construction was??? So I looked it up.

TC4 Construction
Shimano has engineered the new responsive TC4 Construction material to elevate your fishing experience. The TC4 Construction material wraps a double inner layer of advanced, dynamic T Glass with an inner and outer spiral of high modulus graphite. This breakthrough in design constuction results in an extremely durable, crisp, yet lightweight rod.

NoFear - You got an opinion?????

Anyone compare this to W&M's Skeet series S-curve???

I have a Shimano Crucial crankbait rod, it is also a TC4 constructed rod. I personally have never fished a W&M rod, primarily because I find their build quality to be very poor. I would recommend the Shimano, just based off of build quality alone.

Yes, they sell the St Croix Premier crankbait rod for $120.00 I purchased one of these rods last year and I can't tell you how happy I am with it. I'd buy another in a heart beat!I have the PC70MHM 7' MH-MOD for fishing my large deep diving crankbaits. I highly recommend these rods.

I saw the St Croix too. I can't find if that's a mix of glass and graphite or just graphite. Nothing posted about that one.

I played with the 7' W&M and wasn't happy with it for what I wanted to use it for. Thought the 6'6" might be better for what I want.

The Premier has a graphite blank. They have crankbait dedicated models which is what I bought.

I've never heard of this line before but it looks like it might be good for 1/2oz traps and up. It is a Walleye rod but could easily be used for crankbaits.
