Default Done here!

Went to the lake today had to bust ice at the launch finally made it to open water put the hammer down heading towards the area I wanted to fish just to find that the small bay was froze over, so I went back to the main lake I worked my other areas and had the best day of walleye fishing of the season.I could do nothing wrong. I slow rolled a spinnerbait, cranked, shakey head, deadsticked senko's and one even took my 10inch worm everything i did i caught walleyes to bad I was targeting bass and only boated 3 so thats it for my season except for a trip or two to the hot ponds on the Mississppi!

Great way to go end the year chubs!!! And I'll take a stringer of walleyes any day of the week when it come to good eattin. My last day on the lake was a couple weeks ago. With only weekends to fish, I have too many chores to get done before winter soon clamps down on our region. I really hated to put the rods away for another winter. Luckily, I can still do some steelhead fishing in some streams around here durring winter.

I guess all in all it wasnt a bad day on the water but it sure would have been nice to close the season the way it started.at least you got steel head and open water all i can do is sit in a shack looking down at a little hole cut in the ice!
