Default Ultra Lite Rod Build-4-27-10

Well this was the rod from the the Diamond wrap tutorial I posted a few weeks ago.
It's a 5'6'' Lite/Fast CRB ''Blue'' blank paired with the blue ultra lite President reel.
It features the American Tackle Halide guides,Aero reel seat (god I love this seat!!), Batson winding checks and EVA super firm grips.
I used the Fuji concept guide spacing system on this.(a process of measuring your spool diameter to determine the ''choker'' guide placement....or middle guide,basically...Its different for sure..However,I really like the system for spinning rods,..It cast great!!
I also, after talking with Jrob, used the forhan locking wraps on the guides...Another technique used to lock the thread down so guides dont pop out if they catch on something...boat locker, etc.
All in all a fun build,I rushed the epoxy a touch, but Im happy with the results.

Im very happy with the blue blank, blue reel, and thread all matching up....Its a very beautiful rod if I say so myself

I also got this rod damn near perfect balance!

That turned out great!! You couldn't have asked for a better color match and it's neither black nor red. Really digging the winding checks and the diamond wrap! Is it my imagination or does the butt cap look blue in picture 2?

Solid work as always!

Looks awesome, WJ. I'd love to see that as a 7' UL like my okuma celilo. Talk about a small spoon and inline spinner launcher.

You did a killer job on this rod, and the balance looks dead on.
