Default do you use your smart-phone for fishing?

I was reading another thread and bookmarked a webpage that had the best fishing times of day (according to lunar cycles I assumed) on my new i-phone.

Last year a buddy used the GPS aerial satelite overlay on his phone when we got lost in a seemingly endless backwater maize on the Mississippi River.

I was wondering if their are any other apps or gadgets that you use on your smart-phone when fishing perhaps to record notes for a fishing journal, or maybe just to take pictures. Seems like there is a lot of technical potential - but I also understand the benefits of leaving the damn thing at home... it can be a leash!
