Lake fork Parallelium Powersilk (11% strech)?

Wellp, it's that time again! My spool of CXX is running kinda low, it'll prolly give me one more re-spool. So if I don't get more cxx, I'm thinking maybe Lake Fork Parallelium Powersilk. It's a bit pricey, so if anyone can tell me about it, that would be great!! It says the stretch is 11%, (and boast "hyper sensitivity"). Now to me, 11% stretch means nothing. What percent stretch are most other mono/copolly lines, say sufix Siege, or CXX for example? And also, if anyone has used this line (particularly worms, jigs, and senkos), how do ya like it?

Can anyone help me out?

Holly crap!! Looking at the line Diameter, this stuff is THIN!! 15lb is the same as 30lb braid, or 8lb mono!!!

BB-when you respool do you refill the whole reel? If you do try pulling off 3-4 long casts worth of line and just respool that amount. The knot stays buried in the spool and it makes your line go a whole lot further.

Yup! That's I do! I've re-spooled with that spool about 4 times. Works great!

Here's another issue bassboss and I discussed on the chat last light. In Japan, their lines are rated in "lb test" like ours, but the ratings don't match up; their 12lb line is not the same as our 12lb line. How exactly, I don't know, but I do know their diameters differ.

So this Parallelium has two different ratings, and ISO, and a US. Now, I don't know what they call it in Japan, or elsewhere overseas, but I'd assume, bassboss need to look at the US rating. Which would make this line much more realistic.

The ISO 15lb test matches up with the US 10lb test, and happens to be the average diameter for 10lb test here in the states; about .011"

Here's the table from TW comparing the ISO lb test, US lb test, and Diameter in inches (I left out mm, since who cares about the metric system

12lb; 8lb; .010"

Use the US ratings. That is the rating that line companies use as a standard pound test rating. This line looks interesting for sure. I bet it is very similar to Pline CX.

*Just checked - The diameters on the Lake Fork line are real close (in some instances slightly thicker) to Pline CX.

I'm sure you're going to find out this is just a discrepancy between ultimate breaking strength and yield strength. I'm not going to offer another long-winded explanation of it, as I'm sure I've bored you with it before.
