Lowrance 332 depth finder question.
Hey guys my buddy bought a 21' stratos and he already had a depth finder with side image so he gave me the lowrance lms 332c depth finder that was on it but it doesn't have a card.
So I can't use the gps or waypoints. The cheapest one at bass pro is $125. Anyone know where I could get a cheaper card? I only have internet on my phone and it sucks searching the web. Any help would be great. And I don't need any of those special hot map stuff.

I'm not sure, so anybody that actually owns one may correct me on this....in looking at the owner's manual online, it looks like you can use pretty much any regular SD card, which are pretty cheap. I found several on Amazon for anywhere from $2.00 to $35.00, depending on size. It looks like you can use any SD card up to 1 gig in that unit.

I don't think you need a card for that unit. It should have a basic preloaded map in the unit (see page 4&5 from the manual). It should also have an internal memory for waypoints. I have the new version (LMS-520) of that unit and the only time that I use an SD card is when I had to send the unit back I needed to save my waypoints. I do have a LakeMaster chip for the smaller lakes that I fish. But for the most part all of my lakes are preloaded.

Spend the money and get you a Navionics Chip and put in there. I have the HD chip in my 520 and the contour lines, navigation markers, even the boat slips in the marina show up on it! Fantastic! A little more money will get you a whole lot more detail.

I don't want to dumb that much into one because all the lakes I fish don't have anything other than just the map. I would have to drive an hour+ to get to one of the lakes on there.
I decided to go with a side image unit now anyhow. Thanks guys.
