Gimme some duct tape and super glue and they will never know. I have 3 small children, I know liability and ingenuity. I always give my wife that Chris Farley "Tommy Boy" look, "What did you do?" when her vase or some other pretty falls apart. I guarantee my work up to a month. That should cover a few visitors after us and leave the blame to who knows.

I'm pretty sure Louann and Daniel will be bringing something to share with everybody.

Well, seeing that we have a little time before having to do anymore planning. I thought this would be a good time to talk about what everyone had in mind about possibly holding a friendly fishing tournament during our get together.

Once we get this thing going, we are gonna need to appoint someone as the Tournament Director for this event. I would like for one of you to take on the responsibility of coordinating any tournaments. Let's see what we can come up with...

Yes you are, Zooker.

You know, I can't imagine anyone else better suited at being our Tournament Director.

Thanks for volunteering, comrade.

I am new to the forums, and this is near my home town of Nashville, I really enjoy the site and I am trying to be more of a regular on the forums. Could you fill me in on the details of the event, or meet and greet. It sound like a fun time to come to town and go fishing for the bronze-backs. I would like to get a little more info on what to expect though.
Thanks
Michael

allwood, these get together are VERY laid back. pretty much anyone that can comes does and we all have a good time fishing, eating, and telling lies about the fish we caught!

Thursday will be the travel day for most people, and almost everybody should be there by thrusday night. We're having a smallie seminar and dinner thursday. Friday is fishing, and probably dinner at a campground. Saturday is more fishing, the little friendly tourny (where you can win the traveling baitmonkey, lol), and the fish fry at John and Lisa's (Bamabassman and mrsbamabassman). Sunday, some people fish, some people leave, it all depends on how far they've got to drive home. As for breakfast and lunch, it's normally everyone's on their own cause some people don't come in to eat, or don't eat lunch at all. A breakfast or lunch may get planned once we're all there, maybe breakfast on sunday before folks leave.

Some people bring a dish to share at one dinner or another, some don't it all depends on what you feel like doing. If you've got a boat, bring it, if not, we normally always have seats open.

And I guess I should mention this or bama's gonna have a heart attack . It is a family even so if you've got a better half, kids, etc. bring them along.

I think we might need a boat count. I think some that brought boats last may not this year. We are bringing our boat and a friend.

As of right now, if we make it, we're not bringing ours. So we'd need two seats in a boat, or my dad and I can split up, which isn't a big deal.

To those of you attending the Dale Hollow Get-Together, I wanted to make mention of Stephen Headrick's place, home of Punisher Lures, in the town of Celina, called--1 STOP-. You can get all of your tackle needs, lake maps, gas for your rig, and any camping supplies you may have forgotten, there. I hear that they also serve a pretty good pizza and subs too. Check 'em out...

Just to let you know, my buddy and I (another Mark) are discussing coming down there on Monday or Tuesday and hiring a guide for some night fishing. Hopefully, it will go well, and will pay off in spades for the event.

Just for that, I'm going to bring my frogman suit and mine your boat slip, Zook.

I'm also hoping to hit the dam tailwater early in the week. Some trout would go nicely in the frying pan.

Hey Bryce,

Have you heard the name Bob Coan. I've been hearing allot of high remarks about him and his guide service. I heard about him over on DHF, and from what I've heard, he's a fantastic guide and a whole lot of fun to fish with too.
