Default Catawba Fishing Trip

Catawba River Kayak fishing, just got back to Florida from my first Kayak fishing trip. We did boat’s up and down the corridor with average deep fishing for this time of the year. But I got an offer to Kayak fish and for the first time I took them up on it. While I was not overlay impressed by the body of water and it lived up to its reputation as a larger than average lake feeder river-we did so so. IMO only the trip was not worth it for the average lazy large mouth. More small mouth would have been more fun.

Now fishing from a Kayak was a blast! I thought I would be too lazy etc. The amount of water that you can actually cover is impressive and I really want to do it again. Only this time I want to fish where the fish are gamy and not lazy. This is one of several times I have fished SC and it is always the same. The crew I went with fish’s it several times a year and say about the same thing but still go there because of its size and easy to get to. Don’t take my word for it give it a try yourself.
