Man, I love having a DVR. I was watching it, then the wife came in the room. Hit "Record," let her watch "Mystery Diagnosis" on some other channel, and not miss a thing.

Great show. Hope ya'll got to see it. It mentioned George Perry's world record 22-4 fish.... I fished the lower Ocmulgee river last year, which is the area where this fish was caught. (Montgomery Lake was actually an oxbow lake just a few feet off the Ocmulgee back then). I fished that whole area so I know that there is no lake there anymore just what appears to be not much more than a ditch with some trees in it. There is a sign on the highway about two miles from there that tells the story. The program on tonight briefly showed that sign... By the way, I didn't catch anything that day. The river was up and extremely muddy. But if was kinda cool fishing there.

Lake Montgomery is gone now ain't it.. I fishing it in the summer of 1970 while learning to be a Golf Professional.

We used cane poles and dacron line. Lure was a Manns strawberry red jelly worm and a shawnasy hook.

For once it wasn't all about conservation and "save the wildlife". It actually presented a very good case for the bass and the bassfisherman. It placed the three different levels of value in an non-offensive presentation. I have to say, "Well done!" on this one!
