Default Cold water traps

Fished a 50 acre lake on Thurs and Fri mornings.Water temp was 47-48. Caught about 20 bass mostly on rattletraps and crankbaits. Had to find weeds in 6-10 ft of water. Ticking the tops of the weeds and a very slow retrieve. Here's pics of 2 of the fish I got.
And I have never had much success on crankbaits or traps for that matter.

Nice fish, Tom. I love the look of that calm water. Wind on a cold day blows, literally and figuratively!

Nice fish. Were the other fish you caught that day solid fish?

well done. We have had very limited luck since the water fell below 50 degrees. We have found the northern pike to still be very active and aggressive, but the bass have been very tough....but the few we have caught have come on either suspending cranks or rattletraps. We went out this morn, water looked like you had,..very calm. Good thing, cuz it was dang cold (38 air temp)....beautiful morning though, only a 24" pike to show with a few other pike teasing us.....
