Default Some prayers needed for a dear friend

Just got told by a friend, a lady I dated but never became more than good friends for a few years, that she has breast cancer. They think they caught it in time. The tumor isn't any bigger than the tip of her middle finger. But she won't know anything for sure till Monday about how they'll treat it, if and how much of her breast they'll have to take. Once she gets past surviving the cancer, God willing, there may possibly be the issue of losing a breast. And I'm sure that will be difficult for her to deal with also. So if you could find the time, I would be greatful if you could send a few prayers for a wonderful lady who has been a dear friend and always there to lend an ear and a shoulder since we met. Thank you

Will do stick. Cancer is hard to deal with, and can be truly awful. Praying for the best! My mom, grandma, and aunt all survived it.

Well good news, as good as it can be anyway. The cancer doc said they did catch it early and there was little to no chance that it had spread. They'll be doing surgery Friday. She chose to have both breast removed to prevent future issues. Then they'll start her on chemo to be sure.

I'm very proud of that lady. A lot of women would have issues with the loss of a breast. She's handling it well and actually kinda looking forward to not having the weight, (She's a well endowed lady), strain on her back. And there will be reconstruction surgey, I assume after the chemo. She said she ordered up 2 A cups, extra perky. lol Sounded like she was ordering a coffee. lol

Anyway, that's the news so far. I told her there was a whole forum full of bass anglers praying for her and she said she appreiciated them very much. Thank you for your prayers guys. And if you don't mind, keep em going.

Well that is good news really. She is going to go through a rough surgery and the choice I'm sure wasn't easy, but the 2 A cups, "extra Perky", thing tells me she is keeping her sense of humor which goes a long way towards dealing with such a serious situation. I'll be sure to continue to keep her in my prayers.

She had her surgery yesterday and is already home. Everything went well and she's in good spirits, thought she understandably feels like she's been hit by a truck. Now she'll heal and eventually start the chemo. Not sure when they'll start that, though I'm sure it will be after she heals from the surgery. I didn't talk to her for long as she obviously needs drugs and rest. Matter of fact her words were, "I'm gonna take my drugs and sleep. And no Donald, you can't have any of my painkillers." lol

Won't even gonna ask... really I won't.

Just thought I'd thank everyone for their prayers. My friend is coming along well. I think she goes to see the cancer doc this week or the next to see about the chemo. But her spirits are high and she's healing well from the surgery. I showed her this thread and it made her very happy and she's greatful for all the prayers and well wishes.

In need of some prayers again fellas. She's had her surgery and begun her chemo, they've found that the cancer has spred to her spine. It's not terminal yet, but it is chronic. This woman an adult child that she's trying to help get started in his life right with school, and two younger children that still have a good bit of growing to do. And not much in the way of "Dad" to be there for them. They are all gonna need their mother for many more years to come. So please, if you can, find time for this sweet woman and her children in your prayers. Thank you guys, thank you very much.
