Default lake norman 12-3-06

after short notice and 4 hours of sleep my old friend and i went to lake norman this morning. water temps were low 50's except the hot holes were 63. water was clearing from stained. air temp were 38 winds were 5-10 mph with full cloud cover. we launched out at the hwy150 ramp at 6:30am. fishing in stumpy creek we caught 4 spotted bass and this lone large mouth that fell to a road runner bait..

then we ran to the marshell steam plant hot hole were 7 more spots were caught on jointed shad raps. biggest spot went 2-2.5 pounds not huge but fun..

we left around 11:30 am as the wind picked up which aint good on norman..

Aaron Martin used something like that to come in the top five in the bassmasters classic in 2005. His lure that looks like that is called "Martin's Rollin' Runner". They come in 2 sizes,1/4ounce and 3/8ounce and like 6 colors,he just added a zoom super fluke to it and fished it around brides verticly.

yes this is a rollin runner made by road runner. it was not a super fluke but a new zoom bait for 07 a tiny fluke.

actually the blade is on the bottom during the retrive-very weird- but it works i worked the bait as a big hopper jumping it about 2-3 feet off the bottom and letting it sit..
